Tri-State County and New Yorkers Thinking of Moving To South East Florida?

  The migration of people from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and other northeastern states has slowed up a bit since the 2020 rush to Florida.  However, recent politics, especially in New York City, has the expectation of mass exodus from NY City to Miami and Southeast Florida seem to heat up again.   A recent NY Post article entitled, "Luxury real estate brokers say wealthy New Yorkers are already looking to flee after Zohran Mamdani'sl primary win"  where Realtor Ryan Serhant stated, "my number one job will be moving people from New York to Florida.  Again.  Based on the results, clients are going to hold off on making any kind of investment in New York City." I am a full-time real estate professional who focuses on the Mission Bay community in West Boca Raton, Florida.   My primary areas of focus is on Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach; however, I have worked with customers to the north up to Port St. Lucie, Florida and further south into Broward County and Dade County as well. As a real estate agent who specializes in selling homes in Mission Bay West Boca Raton, I monitor Mission Bay homes sales activity. During the month of December 2022, I estimate the average home sales price for the trailing 12 month period was $654,334.  I estimate home prices rose by 27.21% on an annual basis in December 2022 for the Mission Bay Boca Raton development.
